The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) is Australia’s national environmental organisation. ACF is a community of over 400,000 people who speak out, show up and act for a world where forests, rivers, people and wildlife thrive. Founded in 1965, ACF has been a powerful voice for the environment for more than 50 years. It is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organisation focused on advocacy, policy, research and community organising.


The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is an international not-for-profit scientific organisation that aims to diminish the threats to the survival of koalas and in doing so raise the awareness of the global community to help save endangered fauna and flora. It is the principal non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to the conservation and effective management of the wild koala and its habitat.


Environmental Defenders’ Offices (EDOs) of Australia consists of nine independently constituted and managed community environmental law centres located in each State and Territory of Australia. EDOs of Australia is notable as Australia's main public interest advocacy law organisation in environmental matters.

EDOs of Australia provides legal support in court cases on environmental matters. EDOs for Australia also plays an advocacy role, lobbying on environmental policy matters.



The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is a youth organisation in Australia. The coalition consists of 25 other youth organisations, which includes the National Union of Students amongst many. The organisation aims "to build a generation-wide movement to solve the climate crisis, through uniting diverse youth organisations around this common challenge". Internationally, the coalition is part of the Global Youth Climate Movement.



Environment Victoria, formerly the Conservation Council of Victoria, is an Australian not-for-profit, charitable group and Victoria's peak non-government environment organisation. It works in collaboration with over 150 groups Australia-wide to protect Victoria’s environment and relies on financial support from donors, members, grants and sponsorships.



Greening Australia is an Australian environmental organisation, founded in 1982, the International Year of the Tree, to protect, restore and conserve Australia's native vegetation. Greening Australia was formed by the United Nations Association of Australia and the Nursery Industry Association of Australia.
