Victoria is the southernmost of the eastern mainland states of Australia. Melbourne, the state capital and largest city, is nestled on Port Phillip in the centre of the southern coast, and is the second most populated in Australia.
The state has a host of wonderful places to visit including the Bellarine Peninsula, Dandenong Ranges, and Grampians National Park, rugged mountain ranges, perfect for bushwalking, and birdwatching. There’s also the famous Great Ocean Road, the fantastic, scenic journey along the south-west coast, and other must-visit places like Mornington Peninsula, Mount Buller, Phillip Island, and Wilsons Promontory.
